God First
At the center of everything I do is my relationship with God. It shapes how I love, encourage and move through the world each day.
God has taught me that we can’t do everything on our own. We’re gonna go through things and he is always going to be there to give us strength. You can find beauty in every season good or bad. God is my rock and God is love. When life feels messy, and out of control, I count on Gods word to center me back to who I truly am, God’s child. He is who I owe my life and all of my successes to.

A Little More About Me
I like to call myself a serial hobbyist because I genuinely love learning, making, growing, and creating all kinds of things.
When I'm not drawing, painting, or designing, you can usually find me:
🌿 Tending to plants and dreaming up new garden projects
🧩 Hunting for beautiful floral and botanical puzzles to turn into wall art
📸 Taking photos of flowers, nature, colors, patterns, and anything that might inspire a future piece of artwork
📝 Admiring stationery, greeting cards, wallpaper, fabric, home décor, and beautiful surface patterns
🚤 Traveling with my family or spending time at the lake
Most of all, though, I love creating art. Watercolor and digital illustration have become my favorite ways to capture the beauty and wonder I see in everyday life.
My Other Life
During the week, I help run our family-owned recycling business, which keeps me busy and grounded.
At home, life is wonderfully full. I've been married to my best friend, Steve, for more than twenty years. We have shared strong bond with God first in our relationship and have enjoyed many fun adventures. We are raising two amazing teenagers who make me incredibly proud every day.
And then there are the pets.
We share our home with four very spoiled cats and two dogs.
The cats would probably tell you they're in charge.
The dogs would probably agree.
Debbie
I would be remiss if I didn't mention one of the most important people in my life, my best friend Debbie Corso.Debbie has been my biggest cheerleader, partner in countless dreams and adventures, and one of the people who encourages me to keep growing, creating, and showing up as myself.We laugh a lot, brainstorm constantly, and somehow always seem to be dreaming up our next big idea together. Her friendship is one of God's greatest gifts in my life, and I honestly can't imagine my story without her in it.Many of the things I cherish most, encouragement, creativity, faith, laughter, and community, are things we've shared through years of friendship.
A Funny Little Full-Circle Story
When I was younger, I dreamed of becoming either a therapist or a florist.
Life had other plans.
Or maybe it didn't.
Because in a funny way, I think Petals & Pine has allowed me to become a little bit of both.
I get to surround myself with flowers, nature, color, and beauty while also offering encouragement, connection, and reminders that you're doing better than you think.
That's a dream I never could have imagined when I was younger.
